How husbands can help their wives lose weight.
Thought for the Day: I got married 6 years ago. I was thin enough. A year after we were married, we had our daughter. There was 19 months between that pregnancy and the next. I lost all 60 pounds gained, minus 10. Not too bad, I suppose. Then after baby #2, I got pregnant 6 months later, and then after baby number 3, it was only 3 months. Think of it this way: from week one of baby #2 to week 40 of baby #4, I was pregnant 27 out of 36 months. THAT IS INSANE. And needlesstosay, hard on my weight, which I obviously gain a lot during pregnancies and had no time to lose from baby number 2 to number 4. Now my husband can eat whatever he wants all day long and not gain a pound. The last 6 months I have been trying to lose the 30 pounds left to lose, but he’s eating and eating… Eating candy bars by the boxes from wholesale stores, Little Debbie snacks, ice cream, chips, cookies, french fries… and the list goes on. He is the worst eater I have ever seen and he’s thin! So to the point: FOR HUSBANDS (and wives if applicable), Eat Healthy with your wives. Exercise with them. Encourage them and it’s not with statements like this: “Should you be eating that?” Think of it this way: let’s say your wife is an alcoholic. Would you drink in front of her in BED??? Would you store drinks in your filing cabinet and closet knowing your wife knows where your stash is? Would you drink in the pantry and them come out smelling like Reese Peanut Butter cups…. Uh… I mean Vodka? NOOOOO. You would love her so much that you would not do all those things, so why not when your wife is on a diet? HUH??? That’s all. I feel better now.
